I did some rough editing and color grading to preview the final look of the film and assess what we need to reshoot or edit. During this process, I realized that the hallway scene, which we initially wanted to be dark, couldn't be achieved due to the location's lighting limitations. I attempted to darken the scene in post-production but was unsuccessful. Therefore, we decided to reshoot the scene against a green screen and use CGI to create the hallway. This way, we can control the lighting and add the props we wanted to include in the scene.

On Saturday, we conducted a test shoot for several scenes to prepare for filming on Tuesday and Wednesday. This helped us plan the camera angles and movements for the set.

On Tuesday and Wednesday filming, I learned a lot about lighting, the benefits of using a gimbal, and the importance of teamwork. We attempted to use the same framing as the storyboard, but due to location limitations, we had to adjust and choose different shots and angles for the best possible outcome in the scene.

On week 4, I began researching for the first scene in which the creation emerges from a manhole. The accompanying mood board reflects the environment in which the scene is set.

I began modeling the environment and scene with the goal of achieving a photorealistic look. To achieve this, I utilized 3D scans from Quixel Bridge. By incorporating these scans into my design process, I aim to create a more realistic and immersive environment for viewers to experience.
